William Trevor Cox (D: 24 Mayıs 1928, İrlanda – Ö: 20 Kasım 2016, İngiltere) İrlandalı yazar.

William Trevor, 24 Mayıs 1928’de İrlanda’nın küçük bir kasabasında, Mitchelstown’da doğdu. 1946 yılında Trinity College’den mezun oldu.

Yazarlığa başlamadan önce heykeltıraş olarak çalıştı. Öykü ve romanlarıyla kısa sürede ünlendi.

İlk romanı “A Standard of Behaviour” 1958’de yayınlandı. Bundan 6 yıl sonra ise “The Old Boys” yayınlandı.

Romanları, kısa öyküleri, tiyatro, radyo ve TV oyunlarıyla sayısız ödül kazandı. Bunların arasında Whitbread ve Hawthornden Ödülleri’yle Best Books 1998 Ödülü sayılabilir.
